Lady Oscar
A noble by birth and education, dedicated to the safety of Marie-Antoinette, Lady Oscar experienced first hand the detachment between the French people and their ruler. Unable to follow the young and lonely French-Austrian Queen, Lady Oscar, the Rose of Versailles, will choose to embrace the Revolution but her heart will bleed because of that difficult choice.
Anime Detour organized a cosplay photoshoot. It was a great experience and Carla was so sweet. She put people at ease and did an amazing job on the photos. Thank you!

I am taking a different take on the concept by putting forward the Colors of the French flag: blue, white & red and their significance during the French revolution. This picture shows a character who decided to embrace those colors whatever the cost.

The craftsmanship of the costume is stunning. I like the brocade you have used. I appreciate that it’s not a 100 % copy of the anime, but your own interpretation!! I also appreciate, that’s your real hair with curls. Most Oscar cosplayers use a wig that’s far too blonde and lots of makeup. As rised as a boy , Oscar did definitely NOT use any makeup and in my headcanon she has a bit androgynous look, so the camouflage is perfect. Thumbs up for this cosplay and the well done realisation.
