Free Christmas tree and star by Zulma-sanJust a little something to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Free Christmas tree and star by Zulma-san

UPDATE: As I am adding more people who commented, I am also taking this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year and all the best for 2014!! ^___^

I am also taking this opportunity to do a little OC Feature:

1. For the first ten people who comment on this journal I will feature one of their characters. I'll also tell you what I like about them.

2. If you comment, please do the same in your journal, putting the tagger (or original journalist) in the first slot. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone!

1- Gwynella 'Gwyn' Lysayne Farsmith by :iconvalasedai:

<da:thumb id="362667995"/>

I like the feeling of softness which comes from her probably due the 'simplicity' of her design. She is very pretty without being a gorgeous creature, she has a 'girl next door' feeling which makes her very endearing and which comes both from her physical design and her mentality.

2- Maradjil by :iconsigwal:
Maradjil is simply badass. A very strong woman with her own sense of right and wrong. She is very dangerous. I like her short hair and strong profile. She is masculine but remains a woman and I like that about her. I like how softly her short hair flows which contrast with her strong jaw.

3- Dipterion by :iconfruit-sauvage:
Okay, I picked that image because I just love how cute it is and his reaction is priceless, especially that he is usually so stoic. First, I like the character and universe design. Fruit has created an entire world with very unique take on humanoid insects. Second, I like Dip, his story is not an easy one and he tries his best. About the design of Dip himself, I like how the elements of the insect are used and turned into armor.

4- Roxanna Szilegyi by :iconladyphrasieclea:
Character.Name: Roxanna Szilegyi
Gender: Female.
Age: 23
Race/Nationality: Human, Caucasian.
Appearance and clothing: Quite tall even by the standards of the time, Roxanna stands an impressive 180 cm in height; easily explained by the genes carried by both her rather imposing parents.
Chronic lack of sunlight rendered her skin almost sickly pale, making the contrast against charcoal colored hair even more prominent and clear. Long, thick and unruly curls reach down to her lower waist, while her eyes hold a light shade of grey. In more detail, she is characterized by prominent cheek bones, a straight, long nose and a small, receding chin. In general, the proportions of her face are only subtly toned. In dim light they can be mistaken to be as dark as her hair. As far as build goes, she has been forced to meet the expectations of her time for a figure not too slim or extremely bulky. As a result of reprimanding by her mother, she suffered a blow on the cheek at the age of five which has left an ev

Once again Lady Phrasieclea's talent for role playing and writing shows in this character. Roxanna is probably a character which many would loath if they met her in real life but I love how strong she is and how she is using the weapons nature offered her in a realm where society dismissed her and tried to render her powerless. Roxanna is very much of an anti-hero and although, it might be hard to like her, one cannot help but sympathize with her and her history.

5- Sweet Stuff by :iconartsyclairejane:

Philaphobia has very cute characters and adoptable. I found those little sweet stuff inspired adoptable quite adorable. I like the idea of humanizing fruits or desserts. I am quite found of Strawberry and Peppermint for the hair cute and darling clothe. Very sweet indeed! ^_^

Hello Everyone!

Yes I am alive! :) I have been quite busy costuming - new pictures should be arriving soon...(once I am done with Halloween costumes!)

Japanese Coat Quilt by Zulma-san

I just wanted to share with you that my Japanese coat was featured in the latest issue of the Asian Fabric magazine (a quilting magazine focusing on Asian inspired prints).
Here is a link to the magazine: issuu.com/konabayfabrics/docs/…

Japanese style coat by Zulma-san

Not only is it featured inside (pages 16 to 18), but I am actually on the front cover.
This is the first time since the creation of the magazine that they used something different than a blow-up image of a fabric as the front cover. So I have to admit that I felt proud.

So, yes, that was my ego-boosting post of the day. >A<

You all take care.
